Nowhere in the Czech Republic, nor far beyond its borders, will you find an equally wide, thoughtful, affordable and inspiring selection of wine by the glass.

64 wines are waiting for you, chosen so you can discover, compare and enjoy top wine at a sensible price.

If you taste several wines from one machine, go left to right, from lighter or simpler wines to the more complex ones. Start with tasting pours to try as much as possible, and ask for a second glass so you can compare side by side.

How it works

Get a card

Pick up a chip card at the bar for a 100 CZK deposit. Load any amount of credit, return the card when you leave and get the deposit back.

Choose a wine

Nine machines, 64 wines. In every machine the wines run left to right, from lighter and simpler to more complex.

Taste and compare

Tap the card, choose a 25 ml taste, a 75 ml small glass or a 125 ml glass. Ask for a second glass and compare wines side by side.

What is waiting in each machine

  1. I1 – 8

    Pearls of Moravia

    The wines you know and keep coming back to. Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and of course Pálava. Among the reds, Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt.

  2. II9 – 16

    Wild mix

    New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc next to a German take on the grape, a rich Austrian Veltliner, Provence rosé, Spanish Rioja, Italian Primitivo and Grenache from Roussillon.

  3. III17 – 24

    Riesling and Pinot corner

    One grape, many styles. Riesling from Moravia, Germany, Austria and Alsace. Pinot Noir from Moravia, Oregon, New Zealand, Germany and the original from Burgundy.

  4. IV25 – 32

    France

    The whites lead you from Alsace through the Loire valley down to Roussillon. The reds bring four mature wines from the left and right banks of the Gironde in Bordeaux.

  5. V33 – 40

    Off-dry wines and Italy

    Gewürztraminer from Moravia and Alsace, a second rosé from the Loire and fortified Muscats for those who like a little sugar. Then Italy north to south: Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Corvina and Barbera d’Alba.

  6. VI41 – 46

    Natural and organic wines

    A place serious about wine cannot skip natural wines. If they scare you a little, start with a tasting pour of the orange wine, number 43.

  7. VII47 – 52

    Great whites and reds

    Grand Cru Chablis, Roero DOCG, Gran Reserva Rioja or Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Top quality you deserve to taste.

  8. VIII53 – 58

    White gems and Pearls of Italy

    Great white wine by the glass for next to nothing, in grapes you will struggle to find elsewhere in Prague. Beside them Barolo, Brunello and Amarone side by side. Save the Amarone for last.

  9. IX59 – 64

    Chardonnay and the New World

    Burgundy Chardonnay next to California and the Andean foothills of Argentina. Among the reds, South African Pinotage, Californian Cabernet Sauvignon and Australian Shiraz.

Cards and credit

We lend you a chip card for a 100 CZK deposit. Return the card when you leave and we return the deposit.

Unused credit is not refunded. If you do not use the whole amount, keep the card for your next visit. Credit is valid for 90 days from loading.

A loaded card also makes a gift for family, friends and business partners. We are happy to personalise it with the recipient's name.

The main cellar

If you would like a bottle of something very rare (and absurdly expensive), ask the staff for the list from our main cellar. Any of our wines can also be bought to take home at the regular retail price.
